David Grisaffi majored in physical education and holds multiple certifications including 3 from the prestigious CHEK Institute: Level II high Performance Exercise Kinesiologist, Golf Biomechanic, and health and lifestyle counselor. David has been a high school wrestling and baseball coach and is currently an independent trainer and strength coach.

The book starts off with a brief introduction in which he dispels some of the myths associated with abs and abs training. He then gives us no fewer than 50 different exercises that are well illustrated and explained in detail. The majority of the exercises can be performed at home with the minimum of equipment, or none at all. I myself have used only a few of them, and have achieved much better results than with the more common abs exercises that I was doing.

He then proceeds to give us a bit of a biology lesson, a training program, a Q & A section, and some information on supplements. He ends off with some helpful tips on how to keep our abs looking good.
Overall a worthwhile and informative book.

The book was formulated for male and female bodybuilders. The instructions in the book can however be used for weight loss and toning up, with some adjustments in the program which is explained in the book. In the introduction Hugo covers some of the myths associated with weight training, and explains how to structure your goals.The next chapter deals with training, and he points out the benefits of weight training for women, giving better shape to your body and increasing your metabolism. He covers all aspects of training - when, where, how, how long and how often. All muscle and body areas are extensively covered, and his attention to detail is impressive.

The third chapter deals with all you need to know about nutrition, and he his knowledge on the subject is apparent. If only this information was applied to your weight loss program, you would benefit greatly. In the fourth chapter his knowledge of supplements continues to impress, and without promoting any particular brand names, he educates us on what to take when and why. He follows up with a chapter on rest and recovery and some miscellaneous topics like which are the best exercises for muscle growth.

This is already 160 pages of enough information for you to start an effective training program, but there are still another 40 pages with information on food value tables, diet samples, exercise chart, nutrition log, fast foods, and a few other items. When purchasing the e-book you will also acquire membership to the members zone, where there is a forum, exercise videos and help and support from Hugo himself. There is also a mini trial version of the book you can download for preview.
The book is well written, easy to read, and professionally published. Excellent value.

Jeff takes you gradually from a beginner workout, to a monster workout without muscular exhaustion, and then you ease off again.
